Hi, I’m Amy Trask — a communications professional and community builder. I specialize in transforming complex information into engaging, accessible educational tools — especially for military families and veteran communities. With a background in law and journalism, I approach every project with both analytical precision and a storyteller’s instinct.
Currently, I serve as Publications Director for Naval Services FamilyLine, where I lead publication initiatives that support Navy spouses and families. I’m deeply passionate about designing content that not only highlights policies but also feels human, practical, and impactful.
When I’m away from my desk, you’ll probably find me exploring the Tidewater area of Virginia or mentoring young people on service and leadership through my volunteer work.
Professional Background
My career path began in journalism — reporting for Reuters, The Seattle Times, and The Florida Times-Union — and evolved through law and nonprofit leadership. That blend of storytelling, structure, and strategy continues to shape how I lead projects and teams today.
